Two short poems
Starbucks Meditation Around me many voices, chattering. In the background, someone sings “Guantanamera”. ~ ~ ~ Hurdy-gurdy As I sit munching a food bar, a young woman turns a crank & the hurdy-gurdy sings.
Three hawks
On the way back from the grocer’s this morning I heard a hawk’s piercing cry. Looking up I saw three of them soaring in circles. Below, six crows noisily objected.
