Every little once in a while

Istanbul

Every little once in
a while
there is a song, a murmur,
a hope.
Every little once in a while
there is life, and singing,
and cheer.
If what you want is a home,
build one and live in it,
really live,
with all that means, because
every little once in a while
sadness and tragedy
also appear.

Every little once in a while
there is hope where others
do not see it. Be
a guide so they
can learn to see and
not despair.
Learn to make your journey
one day, one step
at a time, giving hope
a chance to bloom. Then
every little once in a while
hope will appear as the sun
shining down so that it
may grow.

Every little once in a while
give thanks and
words of blessing for the gift
of seeing happiness
and hope, where before
you saw shadows and darkness,

giving to those you are close to,
and others who pass along the way
the blessing that every little
once in a while there is hope.
